Frequently Asked Questions

How the Pass Maxing™ Calculator decides if a Disney Pass is worth it.

+Why should I trust these numbers?

The Pass Maxing™ Calculator is powered by FOMO Tech's proprietary Regret Prevention Engine v.01, the most comprehensive Disney annual pass analysis ever created.

Quick Answer: The algorithm analyzes 100+ data points across 50+ decision factors to prevent you from making the wrong decision.

+How many Disney park days make an Annual Pass worth it?

It depends. The value of a Disney Annual Pass varies based on how often you visit, what time of year you visit, whether you’re a Florida resident or DVC member, parking, and even what you spend on food and merch.

To make sense of all these variables, we built the Pass Maxing™ Calculator with an algorithm that analyzes your habits and reveals if a pass actually saves you money compared with day tickets. Try it to see your personalized results.

+How much does a Disney World Annual Pass cost?

Walt Disney World offers four Annual Passes: the Pixie Dust Pass ($489 plus tax), Pirate Pass ($869 plus tax), Sorcerer Pass ($1,099 plus tax), and Incredi-Pass ($1,629 plus tax). Prices vary by Florida residency and blackout dates along with many other factors.

To determine which pass provides real value for you, plug your visit habits into our Pass Maxing™ Calculator and we'll factor in your resident status, visit frequency (weekends vs weekdays), spending, and more to see when a pass pays off.

+What is the break-even point for a Disney Annual Pass?

There isn’t one universal break-even number for a Disney Annual Pass. It depends on your travel habits, how often you visit, and which pass tier you choose. Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club members often reach the break-even point faster because of lower prices and discounts. Factors like weekend visits, park-hopping, and dining or merchandise savings all play a role.

The Pass Maxing™ Calculator analyzes these variables automatically to show exactly when an annual pass becomes the smarter choice than buying day tickets.

+Can I use a Disney Annual Pass for all four parks?

Yes. All Disney World Annual Passes include access to all four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom) without needing a separate Park Hopper add-on. Passholders do need a park reservation unless it’s a designated “Good to Go” day. After entering their reserved park, they can visit any of the other parks the same day without limits.

+Do Disney Annual Passes include parking?

Yes. All Walt Disney World Annual Passes include standard theme park parking at all four parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom) at no extra cost. Passholders simply show their valid pass or magic band at the parking entrance for free entry. Preferred parking is available for an additional fee but isn’t required.

+When is the best time to buy a Disney Annual Pass?

The best time to buy a Disney Annual Pass depends on your trip plans and park habits. Prices rarely drop, but timing your purchase around when you’ll start visiting, especially if you plan several trips within a year, maximizes value. Occasional promotions appear for Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club members. The Pass Maxing™ Calculator helps identify your ideal purchase window based on visit frequency, trip dates, and savings potential.

+What are the different tiers of Disney World Annual Passes?

Walt Disney World offers four tiers of Annual Passes, each with different access levels and blockout dates. The Pixie Dust Pass is for Florida residents only and blocks out weekends and all major holidays. The Pirate Pass, also for residents, allows weekends but excludes peak holiday periods like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and spring break. The Sorcerer Pass is for Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club members, blocking only the busiest holidays. The Incredi-Pass is available to everyone and includes full, year-round access with no blockout dates.

+Can I upgrade my Disney tickets to an Annual Pass?

Yes. You can upgrade most Walt Disney World tickets to an Annual Pass by paying the price difference, as long as your ticket is eligible and the upgrade is completed by the last valid day of use. Upgrades can be made in person at any theme park ticket window or Guest Relations location, and sometimes directly through the My Disney Experience app or website.
